Product Description

This granite ware skillet is made with a heavy gauge carbon steel core. It's an ideal cooking medium creating perfect balance between even heat distribution and quick heating. The porcelain ground coat is fused to the carbon steel core at 1800 degrees with another porcelain coat fired on top of that at 1500 degrees creating a permanent glass finish that is extremely hard, scratch resistant and easy to clean. The finish won't peel or discolor over time. Interiors are then coated with two layers of premium ptfe free non stick coating that helps prevent rusting while allowing the superior properties of the carbon steel core to work. Thick rolled stainless steel rims add durability and make it possible to pour from the pan without dripping. Carbon steel core also makes this cookwere suitable for use on gas, electric or induction stove tops. A useful and versatile 3 quart size is great for making cream soups, cooking rice or vegetables and a variety of other tasks, and will provide a lifetime of service.
